Description:  

 

The Neuromuscular Division at Washington University in Saint Louis has 10 attendings specialized in adult and pediatric neuromuscular diseases, electromyography and muscle/nerve pathology.  There is active clinical and bench research covering the clinical and basic aspects of neuromuscular diseases.  Our site is ACGME-accredited for Neuromuscular Medicine and Clinical Neurophysiology training programs.  The MDA Clinic at Washington University is one of the biggest in the country and more than 2500 cases/year are done in our Electrodiagnostic Laboratory.  We process and read more than 500 muscle/nerve biopsies per year.  In addition, our laboratory is equipped for Muscle/Nerve Ultrasound, Skin biopsies for intra-epidermal nerve evaluation, quantitative sensory testing, and autonomic testing.
