Description:

At present we have performed approximately 2000 electrodiagnostic studies per year and 150-200 muscle and nerve biopsies. In addition to routine electrodiagnostic studies, single fiber EMG studies, quantitative motor unit potential analysis, and electrophysiological evaluation of movement disorders are performed. Evoked potential studies are performed in the EEG Laboratory and trainees have the opportunity to rotate throughout that laboratory. Routine histochemical stains on frozen muscles are performed in addition to electroicroscopy and immune histochemical studies. Nerve biopsies are teased and examined under the electromicroscope in addition to the routine light microscopy studies. Our research is clinically based and there are weekly EMG and muscle and nerve histology conferences. Interested candidates should send their cirrocumuli vitae and two letters of recommendation.
